This year’s event will be tailored to comply with COVID safety protocols that meet all CDC and local guidelines, including:

• Reception food and drinks served by wait staff, rather than self-served
• Dinner tables limited to eight guests, rather than 10
• Masks required, except while eating

Emceed by Fox 17 Special Projects Reporter Dennis Ferrier, the event will include an award ceremony based on nominees chosen by MTSA alumni and friends. The award categories include: Mary Elizabeth “Ikey” DeVasher Alumni Distinguished Service Award; Nevin Downs, MD Leadership Award; Clinical Excellence Award; and Mission & Heritage Award.

Helping to facilitate social distancing, the Gala will feature an online silent auction, which will allow those bidding on items to do so from their seats during dinner. In addition to displaying the auction items in the lobby area, guests will have the option to view them via their mobile device. They can place bids via an app and be notified when a higher bid has been received. Non-attendees may participate in the auction as well, and guests are not required to be present to bid or win an item.
