This interactive session offers a practical comparison of focused TEE and TTE exams, highlighting key clinical uses, image acquisition techniques, and limitations of each approach. Through real-time ultrasound imaging and guided discussion, participants will explore essential cardiac views and gain insight into selecting the most effective modality for various clinical scenarios.

Objectives:

• Compare and contrast the Focused Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Exam with the Focused Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) Exam, including key clinical applications and limitations.
• Describe the scanning technique to obtain key TEE views—Midesophageal Four Chamber, Long Axis, Aortic Valve Short Axis, and Transgastric Short Axis—and compare these to corresponding TTE views.
