Franklin McShane received his BSN from the University of Massachusetts, his MSN from the University of Texas, and his DNP from the University of Minnesota. He is a graduate of the US Army Nurse Anesthesia Program and spent 21 years in the Army. After leaving the Army he practiced for 18 years in a small independent private practice anesthesia group in rural
Wisconsin. He is now full-time faculty in the Nurse Anesthesia Program at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science while maintaining a part time clinical practice with the same group. He has published and lectures nationally on regional anesthetic techniques.
